Web Design For Girls Part 1 (ages 12-18) (pre-registration for 4-week series)

Interested in coding? Want to create your own webpage? If you answered yes, pre-register for this free program at Round Rock Public Library. We will meet every Monday in April 2022 at 6:30 p.m. and Chromebooks will be provided onsite for the class.

You will learn how to create and customize a basic web page using HTML and CSS. At the end of the month, you will develop your own project and learn the basics of web development. Each class will last approximately one hour, with time at the beginning to review what we have learned in previous classes. The last course will be a closing party where we will each present our websites. You will receive a certificate and we will celebrate with a pizza.

Classes will be led by Parul, a member of the Teen Advisory Board who is a junior at Round Rock High School. Coding and engineering have been her passions since 6th grade. Throughout her career in IT, she has often been one of the few (if not the only) girls in the room, and for this reason she wants to support women’s empowerment initiatives and involve more women in STEM. Parul is looking forward to meeting you!
