VIEDA, VIUCEDD Host Webinar on Accessible Web Design for Business

The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), in partnership with the University of the Virgin Islands Center of Excellence for Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) and disability advocacy partners, will host a webinar titled “Accessible Web Design and Your Business” starting at 11:30 a.m. at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 25.

Accessible websites are designed so that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate and interact with the web page. Join VIEDA/VIUCEDD to hear panelists present and discuss accessible web design and how online marketing can reach a wider audience. Presenters will include VIUCEDD IT Specialist Jose Negron, who will introduce web-based design credentials, digital documentation and related accessibility features, and Gerard Evelyn from Senator Whittaker’s office, who will share how he personally accesses and benefits web-based design features. as a blind end user.
