A Greencastle-based web design company is touting its growth. Distinct says it plans to add 20 high-quality jobs after receiving a tax incentive package from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
Distinct was founded in 2013 and is currently hosted at the Tenzer Hub for Entrepreneurship. The company is focused on building a strong digital presence for small businesses and local nonprofits.
Founder and President Vincent Aguirre says the additional staff will help the small business serve its growing number of customers.
“We’re a Putnam County small business focused on talent and energy supporting small businesses with dynamic websites and services,” Aguirre said in written remarks. “We are committed to hiring new employees to serve the more than 90 projects we manage and to continue our exponential growth.”
Distinct has already hired three new members to its leadership team, including Holli Hill as Community Relations Coordinator, Aaron Miller as Business Associate and Ken Eitel as Senior Integrator.
“Distinct supports local businesses and organizations with just one example being the city’s revamped website,” said Greencastle Mayor Bill Dory. “A vibrant economy requires innovation and access to good jobs, and both are strongly at stake here.”
According to documents filed with IEDC, Distinct is investing more than $160,000 in the expansion. IEDC has offered the company up to $350,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company cannot claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
